Experiment Design and Test Plan for the Measurement of the Surface Reflection Coefficient.

Abstract

This report presents methods for the acquisition and processing of data necessary to compute the reflection coefficient of sound at the air-water interface. Particular emphasis is placed on techniques based on cross correlation and cross spectral density measurements. Criteria for the applicability of each method are discussed in detail and a general test plan is outlined.
