Determining Isentropes of Expansion in Substances after Shock Compression,

Abstract

The results of measurements and calculations are shown where a comparison is given between the dynamic adiabats and the isentropes obtained for teflon (A), paraffin (B) and ice (C). The isentropes and shock adiabats correspond within significant pressure intervals. Significant divergence is observed only at low pressures.
