Grouping Projections According to their Purpose

Abstract

Until recently the term prognosis (predictions) was associated primarily with the natural, biological, and technical systems not dependent on goal-directed human activity. At present the term projection is connected with social processes as well. In this connection, predicting social phenomena stands out as one form of concretization of scientific projection. Among the various objectives of projection, 10 basic trends, falling into 5 pairs, are defined and discussed.
