The Toxicological-Hygienic Classification of Harmful Substances,

Abstract

At present there are several classifications of toxic substances, based on various principles: Purpose and conditions for use; pathogenesis of the poisoning; physical and physicochemical properties; chemical structure; and toxicity. Each classification has a particular theoretical and practical value. A discussion of the utilization of these classifications is presented.
