Abstract

This study delineated a fendering systems to adequately protect the Voyageur while alongside the cargo containership. Cabin acoustic improvement showed modification required to the commercial cabin to attain an internal noise level of 74 dB (P.S.I.L.) and for 80 to 82 dB (P.S.I.L.). Container tie-down study covers cable lashing system required to secure the container to the deck of the logistic Voyageur. This study establishes loading criteria applicable to cargo restraint on an air cushion vehicle. Communication - navigation system determined the avionics set required to provide the Voyageur with suitable communications, collision avoidance and navigation systems for limited visibility operation.
