Primary Irritation Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellent.

Abstract

VH 2014 (Confidential compound), a candidate insect repellent proposed for use by the Army, was evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for its potential to cause skin and eye irritation. The data obtained serve as a basis for making a recommendation concerning its potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds.
