Stress Generated Rat Odors: Chemical Isolation.

Abstract

The overall objective of this research is to isolate the material generated by rats in acute stress. This material is of practical interest for its potential in rodent control. GLC chromatograms are made of air samples from the environment of calm rats, and compared to chromatograms similarly taken from the environment of stressed rats. Extra peak(s) in the latter chromatograms will be related to material generated under stress.
