A Study of Airborne Gravimetry Using Repeated Flight Paths.

Abstract

The report investigates the use of an airborne gravimeter to detect and measure localized, high frequency gravity anomalies. In particular, the effectiveness of employing repeated flights over a region of interest to reduce errors in gravity anomaly determination is investigated. Computer simulations, including gravity modeling and aircraft motion modeling, are used to draw the primary conclusions.
