Workload Indicators at Navy Inventory Control Points.

Abstract

An investigation was made of the current system of budgeting and justifying Operation and Maintenance funds for staffing of Navy Inventory Control Points. The current procedures employed by the Navy Supply Systems Command in justifying Inventory Control Point staffing budget requests were analyzed. A new model with weighting factors for repairable and consumable item management was proposed and an example made showing how the new model could contribute to improved budgetary procedures.
