Hybrid Mode Analysis of Microstrip on Dielectric and Ferrite Substrate.

Abstract

A hybrid mode analysis of microstrip on a dielectric substrate is presented. A numerical solution for wavelength and characteristic impedance of single and coupled, balanced strips is obtained. Line parameters are shown to be very frequency dependent but in agreement with the quasi-static results of other investigators in the low frequency limit. The extension of this technique to perturbation analysis of microstrip on ferrite is also described. A numerical solution for the propagation constant is obtained.
