Comment on 'Observations of Thermal Fluctuations in Superconducting Microbridges'.

Abstract

The interesting switching phenomena recently reported by Rachford et al. to occur at the onset of certain puzzling current and temperature dependent steps in superconducting microbridges should be considered a phenomenon yet to be explained rather than a case to which existing theory of thermally activated phase slips is directly applicable.
