Abstract

The fact that human factors analysis has become one of the principal elements of systems engineering underscores its importance in systems acquisition management today. Therefore, instead of justifying the use of human factors in systems design, the authors concentrated on presenting a method of human factors application that can be more gainfully employed in the acquisition of naval programs. Additionally, the authors in their analysis the depth of application of human factors engineering and when and where it should be applied in the development of a system.
