Project PIEMAN: Persistent Indicators for Estimating Manpower Needs.

Abstract

Project PIEMAN's objective was to investigate the techniques useful in forecasting logistics manpower needs as a function of programmed aircraft forces. Using the regression analysis, models were developed that can forecast AFLC manpower needs two or more years into the future. Models have been developed for the four major Air Logistic Center functions--Materiel Management, Maintenance, Procurement and Production and Distribution.
