Necessity of Prerinsing Disposable Polypropylene Pipet Tips.

Abstract

Errors as great as 15 percent of rated volume occurred in the first sample dispensed from a piston-actuated microliter pipet using disposable polypropylene tips. Prerinsing of the tip before use in dispensing either aqueous or nonaqueous solutions is recommended to obviate possible errors.
