Some New Realizations of Dedicated Hardware Digital Signal Processors.

Abstract

The significant breakthroughs in the area of semiconductor technology have opened up new options for the implementation of digital signal processors. The authors suggest some new hardware realizations of such dedicated processors that capitalize on the advances in semiconductor memory technology to produce realizations that have a significantly lower package count and power consumption and also make possible higher speeds of operation. The authors specifically discuss the realization of digital filters and high speed Fast Fourier Transformers.
