Automatic Digital Switching Specialist Career Ladder AFSC 29530, 29570, and 29590.

Abstract

The report describes an occupational survey of the Automatic Digital Switching Specialist career ladder, AFS 295XO, conducted by the Occupational Survey Branch, of the USAF Occupational Measurement Center, Lackland Air Force Base, May 1973 through September 1974. This report describes the development of the survey instrument, its administration to job incumbents, and resulting summaries of tasks performed by airmen grouped by skill level, experience level, and similarity of tasks performed. Background variables relating to grade, AFSC, training, equipment usage, job interest, reenlistment plans, and other information are also reported. Results are compared to current training and career field documents, and recommendations for changes or further study are also presented.
