Basic Research in Methods of Approximation in the Nonlinear Mechanics of Solids and Structures. Volume III. Transient Analyses.

Abstract

Results from six different phases of research activity related to the nonlinear mechanics of solids and structures are presented. These phases include analyses of: (1) geometrically nonlinear viscoelastic structures, (2) dynamic response of prestressed structures, (3) thermomechanical dissipation phenomena, (4) coupled heat and moisture diffusion, (5) temporal operators for nonlinear problems, and (6) finite element models for shell structures. Each phase demonstrates analysis method for the particular topic of interest. Each phase is separate and self-contained.
