Pattern Recognition for the Automatic Reduction of Reconnaissance Data.

Abstract

Three specific projects were undertaken during this contract, (1) The investigation of the generalization capability of patterns learned by linear, piecewise linear, and quadratic discriminant functions, (2) The development of a deductive information retrieval system based on a pattern recognition language previously developed, and (3) The investigation of feature extraction techniques in algebraic and interpreted linguistic pattern description languages. A separate section of this report is devoted to each of these three projects.
