Stopped-Flow Kinetics of the Ammonation of 'cis'-Dichlorodiamminepalladium(II).

Abstract

Cis-dichlorodiamminepalladium(II) was synthesized and identified by its unique infrared spectrum. The reaction of cis-dichlorodiamminepalladium(II) with ammonia in varying concentrations of sodium chloride was studied using stopped-flow techniques. An analysis of the following system was completed and discussed in the light of experimental rate constants. Anomalies arising in the experimental results were discussed and recommendations for further work were made.
