The Isolation and Chemical and Biological Properties of Microbial Emulsifying Agents for Hydrocarbons.

Abstract

The emulsifying agents produced by two Candida strains and one Pseudomonas strain were partially fractionated using several chromatographic techniques. A homogeneous preparation could not be obtained, and repitition of growth studies yielded variable data. Various component fractions from the two yeast strains were analyzed on the amino acid analyzer following acid hydrolysis.
