Visual Search Processes of Coast Guard Aircrewmen.

Abstract

The thesis presents the various components of the visual search process as it applies to Coast Guard lookouts. It begins with a description of the human eye and follows with an introduction to detection lobe theory. Next, the most distinct region of daylight vision, the foveal vision area, is discussed.
