Analysis, Test and Evaluation Support to the USAF Advanced Landing System Program. Volume I. Program Description and Results.

Abstract

The report describes the efforts undertaken by IITRI in support of USAF's microwave landing system concept validation program. It is concluded that the doppler guidance technique is conceptually sound but that considerable work is required to improve the implementation of the technique; fundamental research in the area of multipath reflections is strongly recommended.
