Curves of Growth for Rotational Lines in the B Singlet Sigma(u)(+)-X Singlet Sigma (g)(+) System of Molecular Hydrogen.

Abstract

A calculational procedure is given for generating curves of growth for rotational lines in the B singlet Sigma(u)(+) - X singlet Sigma (g)(+) Lyman system of H2. Natural, collisional, and Doppler broadening have been taken into account. Results are given for the (0,0), (0,1), and (1,1) bands, and good agreement between experiment and theory has been demonstrated for several lines in the first of these features.
