Measurement of Low Background Levels by AC Photoconductivity.

Abstract

A method is presented for measuring the ac conductance of an infrared detector element at low frequencies and low photon flux levels. This alleviates the difficulties sometime encountered with dc measurement. A slightly sublinear response was found for mercury-doped germanium detectors at 10K.
