Fracture Toughness of Light-Water Reactor Pressure-Vessel Materials. Quarterly Progress Report Ending 31 Oct 1974.

Abstract

The principal objectives are: (a) to characterize the dynamic fracture toughness of three heats of nuclear pressure vessel materials, namely, 6-in. A302-B and 8-in. A533-B plates and a 9-in. A508 Class 2 forging, and (b) to develop techniques for the interpretation and analysis of notched, three-point bend beams under impact loading.
