Oscillatory Activation in Exothermic Reactions of Decomposition,

Abstract

In the present work oscillatory inequilibrium during the thermal decomposition of hydrazoic acid and nitrous oxide was investigated. It has been experimentally established that in the process of decomposition occurs considerable oscillatory pumping of the initial molecule, which ensures energy 'feedback', and the reaction has the basic features of a chain process.
