A Study of Very High Altitude Maneuvers Using Aerodynamic Forces. Volume I. Survey of Basic Concepts and the Principal Result.

Abstract

The University of Colorado, Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences has conducted an extensive study of maneuvers using aerodynamic forces of vehicles at very high altitudes and orbital speeds. The results are contained in four volumes. This volume describes the assumptions and restrictions, summarizes the major results, and assesses the significance and the consequences of various parts of the study.
