Extraction of Syntactic Features within an Array Processor.

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis was to devise algorithms for the extraction of syntactic features within a binary-valued array processor with small neighborhoods. Simulations demonstrated the success of these algorithms and emphasized the advantages of keeping image processing within the parallel part of a recognition system.
