Study of Field Assisted Photocathodes with Double Heterojunction Structure

Abstract

The work on the research grant is concerned with the general concept of double heterojunction field assisted photocathodes. In order to accomplish this study the following three areas of investigation have been defined: Design analysis to determine the required structure and the quantum yield for double heterojunction field assisted cathodes; Development of the materials and device fabrication techniques for the Ge/ZnSe/GaAs structure; and, Measurement of the electron transport properties in Ge/ZnSe/GaAs structures.
