Thermal and Stability Study of Tetracene Using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC).

Abstract

A thermal analysis study was made of tetracene (1-(5'-amino)-4-tetrazolyltetrazene hydrate) using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The effect of different scan speeds was investigated. A stability test for tetracene is proposed. Two lots of tetracene made by different processes showed marked differences in stability characteristics.
