Occupational Vision Special Study.

Abstract

A survey questionnaire dealing with Occupational Vision Programs was prepared and mailed to 154 civilian companies. The response of the 114 companies that returned the questionnaire were compared with the Occupational Vision Program as conducted by the Army. The comparison of the Army and civilian Occupational Vision Programs showed many similarities and no significant differences in program operation. It was concluded that the Occupational Vision Program within the Army was consistent with sound medical practice and the present state of the art and that no changes in either the nature or scope of the program were indicated at this time.
