Evaluation of New Reverse Osmosis Membranes for the Separation of Toxic Compounds from Wastewater.

Abstract

This second annual report of the project 'Evaluation of New Reverse Osmosis Membranes for the Separation of Toxic Compounds from Wastewater' involves an extensive study on the characteristics of the NS-100 membrane and a formulation of mathematical models for predicting the performance of the NS-100 membrane. The major tasks completed during the second year of the study are as follows: (1) extensive study of the NS-100 membrane; (2) test of the newly developed RO membranes; (3) prediction of membrane performance. Details of these studies are reported and discussed in the corresponding sections covered in this report.
