Production Engineering Measures to Manufacture Super Fine Finish Beryllia.

Abstract

Surface finishes of four microinches and smoother have been attained by polishing standard Thermalox 995 for substrates and modification thereof with three micron diamond paste. A range of polishing pressures and times have been found acceptable. The input beryllia ceramic surfaces may be previously polished or as fired.
