Single Engagement Laser Semiactive System.

Abstract

This report documents a study to reexamine the technology of laser semiactive guidance. The objective was to find methods of accomplishing high terminal guidance accuracy with minimum complexity. All three principle system elements were examined: laser designator, the seeker, and the missile control system. While this study chose a general case ballistic ground-to-ground missile as the application, most of the conclusions apply to other missile systems as well.
