Economics of Airport Operation, Calendar Year 1972.
Abstract
The objective of the study is to develop data and information on airport operation and ownership economics to assist in formulating policy and criteria affecting both the physical and economic capacity of airports. The study analyzes how airport operating revenues, expenses, and investment costs vary by airport size, operation, and location. Detailed traffic and financial statistics of 92 air carrier and 84 general aviation airports are presented for analytical comparison. Data are presented as both total and unit revenues and costs.
