Photolysis of Azides of Lead, Silver, and Certain Systems Based on Them,

Abstract

A series of researchers have communicated information about the influence that the impurities coprecipitated with azides of heavy metals in the production of these azides have on the photochemical stability of azides. This paper, one of a series of researches conducted on the photolysis of azide systems, presents new results on the influence of impurities on the photochemical decomposition of PbN6 and AgN3. The kinetics of decomposition was studied by gas separation of nitrogen, the product of photolysis.
