Reinforced Plastic Structures,

Abstract

These sections of a book discuss the physical and mechanical properties of reinforced plastics and the properties of fillers used. They also cover the properties of complex and combined materials. The properties of materials, including glass fiber, boron, Al2O3, graphite, iron and high-carbon steel wire etc. are presented graphically and mathematically. Stress-strain diagrams are shown for various materials. The properties covered include tensile and shear strength, elasticity, heat conductivity and capacity, dielectric penetrability, creep, etc.
