Distribution of Pressure in an Impulse Magnetic Field within Billets Taking Account of Wave Processes,

Abstract

Stresses in material in the case of magnetoimpulse method of processing metal are calculated. Radial stresses throughout the thickness of a material for the case of free deformation have a nonalternating character. With a decrease in frequency of discharge the values of radial stresses decrease and this should reduce preliminary cold hardening of the material.
