Allergic Reactions Caused by Group B Vitamins,

Abstract

Allergological research using the method of skin tests made it possible to reveal the presence of heightened sensitivity to vitamins B1, B6, B12 in 34 of 100 patients with allergic dermatoses. The most explicit allergic reactions were noted with vitamins B1 and B12. More frequently they were observed in patients with eczema, neurodermatitis and allergic dermatitis. The development of immediate and immediate - delayed type reactions is one of the features of the pathogenesis of medicinal allergy to vitamins of group B, which one should consider while conducting the prophylaxis of anaphylactoid complications.
