Simultaneous Observation of TEC from North and South Hemisphere During the 30th June 1973 Solar Eclipse.

Abstract

Simultaneous measurements of Total Electron Count (TEC) of the ionosphere from two magnetic conjugate point during the solar eclipse of 30th June 1973 were performed. The maximum change of TEC at Athens was approximately 7%. At Salisbury this change was more pronounced. The vertical incidence ionosonde measuring the critical freq. for the E, F1 and F2 layer showed no change in the maximum density of the layers.
