Handbook for Environmental Impact Analysis.
Abstract
The handbook presents recommended procedures for use by Army personnel in the preparation and processing of environmental impact assessments (EIA) and statements (EIS). The procedures outline in step-by-step fashion the progressive actions necessary to satisfy the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the subsequent guidelines issued by the President's Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) charging all federal agencies to utilize a systematic and interdisciplinary approach to incorporate environmental considerations into their decision-making process.
