Hydrostatic Pressure Equilibrated Tensiometer.

Abstract

A tensiometer has been developed that can measure long-term wire system performance at any depth, immune to hydrostatic pressure effects. Line tension is sensed and displayed on a Bourdon-type pressure gauge which is photographed at preselected intervals by a film-data logger mounted at the opposite end of the housing.
