High Energy Halogen Chemistry.

Abstract

The objective of this research program is to explore the synthesis of new functional groupings with potential utility in high energy propellants and explosives. The major emphasis of this research has been on the preparation of organic derivatives of oxidized halogen compounds. Included in this report are discussions and results concerning perbromate, chlorine dioxide, dichlorine heptoxide, and fluorodinitro-ethanol chemistry.
