Quarterly Technical Report Number 6, October 1, 1974 - December 31, 1974

Abstract

This is the sixth quarterly report of the Project. A taxonomic analysis of nations was completed and related to the degree of internal instability within various nations. It was found that ethnic and racial diversity within nations and the presence of liberal democratic systems facilitates internal conflict. A second study investigated the relationship between transactions and conflict, and person-to-person contacts, transactions, trade, and so on between nations appeared to be unrelated to the presence of negative communications and military violence between them. The results were screened for any relevance to detente as a foreign policy.
