Air Mobile Wastewater Reclamation Unit 200 Hour Service Test

Abstract

The report presents the results of a 200 hour service test on a prototype air mobile wastewater reclamation unit. Simulated wastewater of a USAF Bare Base cold water field laundry was used for the test. The unit consists of powdered activated carbon and cationic polyelectrolyte feeders, diatomaceous earth filter, mixing tank, ERDLator and associated piping mounted in a standard Air Force expandable shelter container (ES/C), 8' wide x 8' high x 12' long in the shipping mode. The report concludes that this unit can be used to recycle synthetic cold-water laundry wastewater for reuse.
