Dynamic Calibration for Delco's Carousel VB IMU

Abstract

The paper addresses the application of filtering theory to the problem of IMU dynamic calibration and, in particular, to the Carousel VB system. In the calibration procedure, accelerometer outputs are summed over long time intervals before processing. For this reason, the standard K-B filter needs to be modified as presented in the paper. Filter derivation and calibration results from processing real accelerometer data are presented herein.
