Abstract

The study defines some of the major physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the nearshore zone off Sand Key, Florida before restoration by dredging. Results of a supplemental study on the effects of hydraulic dredging for emergency restoration of Sunset Beach on Treasure Island, Florida are included. An extensive bibliography is also presented. Included also is data on benthic invertebrates.
