Environment and Radar Operation Simulator.
Abstract
The report summarizes activities directed toward the design and fabrication of an Environment and Radar Operation Simulator (EROS). The literature survey tasks concerning signal characteristics and synthesis techniques have been pursued, and a description of their findings is provided. The computerized bibliography records system developed to support these activities is also described. The study of complex envelopes was treated in the first quarterly report pertaining to the properties of the continuous signals used as inputs to the RF complex modulator. During the second quarter, the complex envelope study task has been directed primarily toward the digital signal synthesis problem. Therefore, this report reviews some of the discrete signal analysis facilities, the z-transform and discrete autocorrelation function, and discusses their relevance to the EROS signal synthesis problem.
