Theoretical and Experimental Research on the Fatigue Crack Propagation in Stiffened Panels. An Evaluation of the Paris Theory.

Abstract

Research on the applicability of the Paris theory to aircraft riveted stiffened structures is reported. This research was carried out in two stages: evaluation of the stress intensity factor K in stiffened panels and measurement of crack growth rate in stiffened and unstiffened panels.
