An Adaptation to the IBM 1130 Computer of the Fordyn Simulation Technique for Industrial Dynamics Models.

Abstract

The report describes the systems modeling capabilities of FORDYN, an industrial dynamics simulator, using the limited capabilities of the IBM 1130 digital computer. Chapter 2 gives a brief background to the development of industrial dynamics, the DYNAMO compiler, and the generation of the FORDYN simulator. An industrial dynamics system model is outlined in Chapter 3 which is used to test and illustrate the functions and operations of the FORDYN simulator. Chapter 4 lists and explains the FORDYN model used to simulate the example of Chapter 3. Frequent reference is made to the Appendixes, where the numerous subprograms used in FORDYN are cataloged.
